URF, PIC, LEAR: What is this?
- Each organisation (entreprise or university) that takes part in a project has to provide the European Commission with information on its legal and financial status. To this extend, the EC has developed a web based tool the Unique Registration Facility (URF). Click here
and follow the process step-by-step! - Before you submit your proposal, you have to be sure that each participant in your project has a Participant Identification Code (PIC). Remember that a participant is an organisation, not an individual researcher! You can check here
whether your organisation has already a PIC. - Do you know who is the LEAR
of your organisation? The Legal Entity Appointed Representative (LEAR) is the contact person within your entity (company or university) who is the correspondent towards the Commission on all issues related to the legal financial status of your entity. Only the LEAR is allowed to change information about the status of your entity in the URF.
